Kimora Lee Simmons’ ex, Djimon Hounsou, says that he has not seen their son, Kenzo Hounsou, in months. The celebrity father told all during a recent impromptu interview with TMZ.
“It would have been nice to see my son for Father’s Day,” Djimon told TMZ. “It would have also been nice to have seen him so I could at least talk to him,” he added.
The last pictures that the public saw of Djimon Hounsou and his son, Kenzo, together were those from the father and son’s trip to Benin in July 2018. Kenzo also joined his father on the red carpet during the Aquaman premiere in Los Angeles this past December. That would mean that Djimon has not seen Kenzo in more than five months if the movie screening was the last contact that the father had with his son.
Djimon told media that he was not sure when he saw his son last. “I can’t even recall myself. How about that,” he posed. The actor, however, reassured the press that the matter was not one of a custody war. “There’s no custody battle,” Djimon declared. “I’m not at the lawyer’s office, am I?”
Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons welcomed their son in 2009. Kenzo celebrated his tenth birthday last month.
