British star Mya-Lecia Naylor, commonly known for her role in Millie Inbetween, has died. The CBBC young star was 16-years-old.
Naylor died on April 7, 2019. The cause of her death was not released, though management did confirm with media that the teen passed away suddenly.
“We are so sorry to have to tell you that Mya-Lecia, who you will know from Millie Inbetween and Almost Never has, very sadly, died,” a representative from BBC shared online earlier this week. “Mya-Lecia was a much-loved part of the BBC Children’s family, and a hugely talented actress, singer, and dancer,” the statement read. “We will miss her enormously and we are sure that you will want to join us in sending all our love to her family and friends.”
Mya-Lecia Naylor was born on August 6, 2002. The entertainer began her career as a model and eventually moved into the area of acting. Naylor’s breakout role was in Absolutely Fabulous, which aired in 2004. Mya-Lecia also had roles in Cloud Atlas and Code Red.
Naylor will be remembered as a vibrant young star who was incredibly good at her craft. “She was a beautiful and talented girl. A complete joy to be around on the set of Almost Never,” co-star Emily Atack said of the late Mya-Lecia Naylor. “Sending all my love to her family and friends. Rest in peace beautiful girl.”
