You no longer have to ask the question, “When is Incredibles 2 coming on Netflix?” Incredibles 2 is officially on the entertainment giant’s platform. Netflix began offering the Disney film to its subscribers on January 30, 2019.
Incredibles 2 comes to Netflix as part of the company’s agreement with Disney. The terms of the contract between Netflix and Disney have been up in the air since Disney announced plans to launch its own streaming service two years ago. Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, admitted that Disney’s platform would be different from current giants such as Netflix and Hulu who offer thousands of television and film options that include original and contracted content.

“We have the luxury of programming this product with programs from those brands or derived from those brands, which obviously creates a demand and gives us the ability to not necessarily be in the volume game, but to be in the quality game,” Iger told the press.

Still, even with Iger laying out a potential plan that differed from its alleged competition, the alleged battle between Netflix and Disney became a bit more intense last month when seemingly all of the beloved Disney series and films were simultaneously leaving Netflix. In fact, many fans suspected the cancellation of several Marvel series presented by Netflix was due to Disney’s decision to launch its own streaming service. The rationale was that Disney was preparing to make its streaming platform irresistible by weakening the Netflix effect.

Perhaps, avid fans were not entirely correct in their analysis of Disney since the company is, after all, bringing one of its biggest films of 2018 to Netflix for a time. Incredibles 2 is speculated to leave Netflix on July 30, 2019. Stay tuned for more movie flicks news!
