R. Kelly has stopped paying child support for his three kids with Andrea Kelly.
During an appearance on the “The Bert Show”, Kelly’s ex-wife revealed that not only has the R&B singer not been in contact with his children for years, but he has also cut them off financially.
“Even now, financially I am being abused. He stopped paying child support as of June,” Andrea said.
“When I came out and told my story, that was the last time he paid support. Because again, you can’t abuse me physically … you can’t abuse me emotionally … so you abuse me financially,” she explained on the Atlanta-based syndicated radio show.
She also said that R. Kelly, whose birth name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, changed his number to avoid his kids and that they call him “Robert Sr.” because “he is so disconnected from his children”
“They don’t call him dad,” she said.
Andrea, who was married to Kelly for 13 years, was featured in Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” docuseries, which examined the troubled musician’s history of alleged sexual misconduct and abuse against several women.
She has three children with Mr. Kelly — Joann a.k.a. Buku Abi,20; Jay,18; and Robert Jr., 16.
