Will the mommy-shaming never end? Kenya Moore is the latest celebrity mom to be shamed for kissing her daughter, Brooklyn Daly. Apparently, the critics have never seen the Queen of Shade in action.
The drama, unfortunately, began when Kenya Moore uploaded a sweet picture of her kissing baby Brooklyn while holding her high. “Six weeks old,” Kenya wrote online. “May God bless you and may all your heart’s desires come true,” Moore wrote to her daughter. “I never gave up, kept praying and believing in God’s plan for my life,” the celebrity mom added. “Stay prayerful. He has your back.”
Many fans took the post as inspiration for their lives. One critic, however, could not get beyond the manner in which Kenya Moore was holding her daughter and the fact that the celebrity mom decided to kiss her little one on the lips in the picture.
“Seriously, Kenya, don’t hold her underneath her armpits,” the scrutinizer wrote. “She’s just a bundle of soft tissue and can become QUITE sore from all the manipulation of being constantly picked up and held/dangled in the air by her armpits.” Also, “People, please stop kissing babies in the face. The amount of germs that we have on us is crazy.”
For clarity, Kenya was not dangling her daughter in the air. The celebrity mom had a firm grip on her little one and provided excellent support for the infant’s head.
Kenya Moore did not respond to the critic’s observations and suggestions but, rather, let her fans handle the situation. “Mothers know how to kiss their babies,” one of Moore’s Instagram followers said. Another fan asked, “Why can’t kiss your own baby? Do what you want sweetie. Congratulations she’s healthy and beautiful. The haters need to sit down.”
