Sean “Diddy” Combs is starting a new chapter in his life sans the mother of three of his kids, Kim Porter. Since her death, Diddy has had to take over mommy duties.
During his early morning drive to drop off his 11-year-old twin daughters Jessie James and D’Lila Star at school today, the music mogul shared his thoughts on single parenthood via Instagram story.
“I got to step up and play both roles. Mothers do it all the time,” he said.
“This daddy/mommy thing, it’s beautiful. I love it. You just have to get up early in the morning. like real early. Like early.”
Diddy’s twins could be seen in the backseat as he continued, “Today the journey begins. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. I’m now part of the six a.m. crew. This is mommy slash daddy, daddy slash mommy checking in.”
Kim Porter passed away tragically on Nov. 15 at 46, leaving behind four kids: Christian Combs, twins D’lila and Jessie Combs, and Quincy Brown. No cause of death is known at this time, but a source told TMZ that the model had been suffering from pneumonia for weeks.
