What better way to celebrate the kids’ birthdays than with a joint party founded in harmony? Monyetta Shaw and Ne-Yo did just that with a festive bash of their children, Mason and Madilyn.
Crystal Smith, Ne-Yo’s wife, was also present with the couple’s son, Shaffer Jr., who had a blast at the event. Madilyn and Mason gave partygoers two cakes from which they could choose. Life was all about the unicorns for Madilyn whose cake reflected the fantasy world that most girls love. Mason, meanwhile, shed light on superheroes with his cake.
“Why does it look like I had more fun at the bday party than the kids did,” Ne-Yo asked after the festivities convened this past weekend. “Much love to @monyettashaw and @itscrystalsmith and EVERYONE that made this day so special for the kids,” the celebrity father added. Monyetta Shaw also commented on the event by reflecting on the harmony of the celebration. “We are truly blessed,” she exclaimed.
Shaw has been getting a lot of attention since debuting her book, Keep It Classy, several months back. The book is all about co-parenting, which is something that Ne-Yo and Monyetta Shaw do well. “Our behavior and attitude at this crucial time shapes their feelings about themselves and future relationships,” Monyetta writes in her book. “This is our opportunity to teach them valuable life lessons about love, friendship, coping with disappointment and conflict resolution,” she adds.
