The Bishop was in the house! Keith David Williams and his family attended the premiere of Cinedigm’s American Dresser earlier this week. The screening was held at Laemmle’s Monica Film Center in Santa Monica, California, and Keith definitely brought a new level of energy to the red carpet.
The Greenleaf star gave hugs and kisses to his daughter while photographers took in the precious moment between a father and his child. We couldn’t, of course, do the pictures of Keith and his family justice without thinking of Bishop James Greenleaf and his family on the hit OWN series Greenleaf.
“One of the things I love about Greenleaf is we get to explore that story about fathers’ and sons’ expectations and the difference between the expectations of the mother and the father,” Williams recently said of the show. “It’s quite wonderful and especially in these circumstances where there’s a family business and the expectation is that the son is going to take the lead unless he doesn’t measure up and then the expectation is broken on both sides.”
The patriarch of the on-screen family further explained, “I think that Bishop is quite proud that Jacob has taken over Triumph Church and is doing a good job. Whether or not he shares that with his son is something else.”
