Shaqir O’Neal has a trainer in Kobe Bryant. Shaunie O’Neal tells TMZ that her and Shaq’s son has received several offers from Kobe regarding his game on the court.
“Kobe always offers to work with [Shaqir],” Shaunie reveals. “We’re just so far from each other,” she explains. “But he always offers. He’s awesome.”
Another potential trainer – outside of Shaqir’s father, of course – may be LeBron James. It seems that Shaqir and LeBron’s son, LeBron James Jr., have been getting in a bit of practice time together. “They are very good friends,” Shaunie reveals. “They play in the backyard great.”
It was just a few weeks ago that LeBron Jr. confirmed his plans to attends Crossroads School in Santa Monica. For those who do not know, Crossroads is a premier school with a basketball program that is second-to-none in Los Angeles. Per CIF rules, young LeBron cannot play on the school’s varsity team. That doesn’t mean that he won’t light the way for the Junior Varsity group.
