According to TheJasmineBrand.com, Mia Burks, the child’s mother, shared the following message online.
“Celebrating my baby’s first cycle around the universe today! I can’t believe how fast time has passed..but one thing is for sure, being your mommy has been the BEST experience of my life. I love you beyond words. HAPPY GOLDEN BIRTHDAY, GENESIS HARLO!”
News of Carmelo Anthony fathering a daughter began to spread a few months ago. Some assumed that Mia was the cause of Carmelo and La Anthony’s breakup, which is not founded on facts.
A family friend told Page Six about Carmelo Anthony and Mia Burks’ relationship last year. “Mia met Carmelo at Room Seven, a club in Chicago, when he was here for the NBA draft doing press,” the insider revealed. “She’s not a stripper,” the source added. “She works in education, setting up programs.”
The family friend went on to delve into Carmelo Anthony possibly fathering little Genesis. “A lawyer or an agent will come in, take care of the girl until the baby comes, and then they’ll do a paternity test. It’s all usually quiet,” the inside source said.
