Yara Shahidi is one of the most talented activists of her generation. Known for standing up against any and all injustice, the Harvard-bound actress has been once again honored for her dedication to helping speak-up for others.
The GLSEN group, (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network), will honor Shahidi for her advocacy for girls’ in education at the Respect Awards Gala in October. The talented young actress will receive the Game Changer Award due to her advocacy for gender parity in STEM fields.
