Naturi Naughton is loving motherhood and basking in the joys of her daughter Zuri’s development.
The actress tells PEOPLE exclusively that her baby girl has started walking.
“I’m loving motherhood, my baby just took one step by herself, she’s trying to walk,” Naturi reveals. “These milestones are making me feel like it’s all worth it. You know being pregnant, shooting, breastfeeding while shooting, I did a lot. I was shooting four and a half months into my pregnancy.”
Power, the series in which Naturi Naughton has a starring role, is definitely on the rise. “People are going crazy,” Naturi says of the hype surrounding the show. “I mean this season started with a bang, last season ended with a bang, I think fans are super engaged on social media.”
In addition to giving her public what they want on Power, Naturi Naughton is also seeking to inspire young girls to love themselves through the My Black Is Beautiful campaign. “It means loving the skin you’re in,” Naughton says of the movement. “My Black Is Beautiful means being a beautiful black woman who is unapologetic about how strong she is and how multi-dimensional you are.”
