Darius McCrary is getting the wrong kind of stares these days. The Family Matters star was recently ordered to pay $29 per month for child support, and a few critics are saying that he can do more.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast,
“A proposed child support order for McCrary is requiring him to pay Tammy Brawner, the mother of his two-year-old daughter Zoey, just $29 per month in child support.
The man who once played the lovable Eddie Winslow most recently appeared on seven episodes of Lee Daniels’ TV show, Star, but apparently has not worked since.
He previously told the court that he was having a hard time finding work and wasn’t even able to afford the required visitation monitor to see his child.”
The courts reportedly adjusted McCrary’s child support payments according to the actor’s current wages of $462 per month. Darius was apparently given a “low-income adjustment,” which is why his monthly payments are less than $30. Still, Darius McCrary must pay half of his daughter’s medical bills.
Some critics scrutinized the actor after learning about his low monthly payments for Zoey’s care. Darius did not let such comments go but rather responded with a rebuttal of his own.
“So funny how EVEN with a gag order from our honorable judge these stories about finances keep finding their way to the media,” McCrary said. The actor went on to attack the mother of his child saying, “Sorry I forgot to mention you on The Breakfast Club. Is that enough attention,” McCrary asked. “We could do SO much more for our children without the courts, lies, and media,” he concluded.
Zoey is Darius McCrary’s only child with Tammy Brawner. Stay tuned for more celebrity father news!
