Congratulations to Shareef O’Neal who walked the stage and turned his tassel to the left this past weekend. The oldest son of Shaq and Shaunie O’Neal graduated from high school and his parents were every bit proud.
“You are never too old to get a kiss from your Pops,” Shaq captioned underneath a picture of him placing a nice, juicy kiss on his son’s cheek. “Congrats,” The celebrity father added. “Got em.” Nearly 400,000 Instagram subscribers gave the picture a nod. “Love on him Shaq,” one fan said. “Congratulations, young fellow.”
Shaunie O’Neal also celebrated her son on his big day. “My big baby @shareefoneal,” she shared along with a picture of Shareef waiting in line to receive his diploma. “CONGRATULATIONS, son. We are beyond proud of you.”
It was just a few weeks ago that we learned of Shareef’s plans to attend the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). The news came days after Shareef de-committed from the University of Arizona. “I know my mom is glad I’m staying home,” Shareef told his Instagram followers. We imagine so!
The rising athlete was one of the more sought-after basketball players of the Class of 2018 because of his stellar track record. Shareef averaged just 13.9 points and 6.5 rebounds during the Nike EYBL circuit with the California Supreme AAU program last year, which is quite impressive.
Shaq and Shaunie’s son certainly has a bright future ahead of him. Stay tuned for more celebrity kid graduation news!
