The season finale of Meet The Peete’s aired on the Hallmark Channel this past Sunday, and we are already ready for more. Holly Robinson Peete sits down with Feeling the Vibe to discuss her family’s reality series.
“We were just so excited,” she says of her and the family learning that the Hallmark Channel picked up the series when OWN declined to order more episodes several months back. “We all went out for sushi,” Holly tells media. “We put our heart and soul into this project so we are so excited.”
It is evident that the Peetes are passionate about sharing snippets of their lives with fans. “My favorite moment on Meet the Peete’s so far was when Ryan, RJ’s twin sister surprised him for their 20th birthday,” the celebrity mom tells Feeling the Vibe. “With RJ his reactions are so pure and so real. When he saw Ryan, he just hugged her for 10 minutes straight.”
Although Holly and her husband, Rodney Peete Sr., are the parents, there is much that this couple seeks to learn from their kids. “I think the younger people know and understand social media better than we do,” Holly explains. “I told RJ to not pay attention to comments because he’s very black and white. He will see the comments and take them completely to heart. I tell him not to scroll but he does it anyway. My daughter tells me ‘you post too much. You only need to post 1 – 2 times per week.’ They get it, they understand social media.”
