What is your dream role?
Can’t say that I have “a dream role”, at the moment, because I feel like, now that I’ve turned 18, really my career as a young man is just getting started. There are a few different roles I’d like to explore. I love doing drama and how being in such a truthful place seems to really impact viewers, as in my role on Law&Order: SVU’s “Transgender Bridge” episode, but I also like mixing it up from role to role, doing something light-hearted and comedic sometimes, too. Considering my age, I would love to do something like a new age, modern day, Poetic Justice, Love & Basketball or Everything Everything type of movie. A part of me also would love to stretch my action chops and do something super cool, like a Ready Player One or Star Wars type movie. What I’m really learning though is that working with the right director is almost just as important as the role and project. So with that being said, I’d love the opportunity to work with Hollywood legends like Steven Spielberg, Spike Lee, Ron Howard, Ava Duvernay, Jennifer Yu Nelson and Antoine Fuqua. I’d be remiss to not include as future dream roles, to be able to work also with relatively new comers like Ryan Coogler, Rick Famuyiwa, Stella Meghie, and hopefully in the near future, my little brother, Dusan. [Dusan] is just 16 but will be a force in which to reckon with soon, watch.
