Kim Kardashian West and her daughter, North West, spread lots of inspiration at the March for Our Lives event this past weekend. The celebrity mom shared pictures from her and the family’s time at the march on Sunday.
“What an amazing day yesterday to take my daughter to Washington DC to see our future leaders speak,” Kim wrote online after Saturday’s monumental gathering. “Having my daughter march along-side her grandfather and parents was a day I hope she remembers forever,” Kim continued. “Hearing these stories yesterday and meeting so many families affected by gun violence was heartbreaking and I hope when it comes time to vote we all step up and vote to protect our children.”
The March for Our Lives has quickly become a movement since the lives of seventeen students were lost in the Parkland shooting several weeks ago. Students who survived the tragedy began their grassroots campaign for more restricted gun laws by marching to Washington DC in hopes of convincing politicians to do more to safeguard schools against gun violence. The result of their act has morphed into a nationwide movement in which the notion of gun rights as it stands is under harsh scrutiny.
Jennifer Hudson, Amy Schumer, and Paul McCartney were three of many celebrities to join the students in their fight for better gun laws this past weekend. You can learn more about the March for Our Lives movement at the organization’s website.
