13-year-old aspiring Astronaut Taylor Richardson is proving that you are never too young to help empower your neighbor. The 14-year-old Jacksonville, FL native is making sure that girls, especially those of color, have the opportunity to see A Wrinkle In Time.

“I wanted all girls, especially girls of color, to know they can be whatever they want to be when they grow up and also can struggle and have flaws and still be successful in life,” Richardson stated in a recent interview.
To date, the teen has raised over $25,000 dollars towards her goal. In 2017, she raised enough money to send 1,000 girls to see the box office hit, Hidden Figures for free as well. It is no doubt that this young activist and philanthropist will not only one day spread her #blackgirlmagic in outer space, but she will bring along a plethora of brown and black girls with her.
