We can always count on Kandi Burruss to keep it real. The celebrity mom tells us how she manages to keep her home life in check with career aspirations in her latest vlog.
“I don’t know if I really balance that well,” Kandi tells the interviewer. “I think a lot of working moms probably feel that way,” she adds. “It’s like, on one hand, you want to be successful in your career. But you want to have a wonderful family, you want to have children, you want to be important in the eyes of a child because that’s the best job you could ever have. And then, when you get what you always wanted, you be going stir crazy trying to figure out how to make it all work.”
Kandi makes her life as a mom, businesswoman, and entertainer work by knowing her limitations. Such is the reason why she decided to prepare for “The Great Xscape Tour” sans her son, Ace. “I decided not to have Ace come the first week, or when I was just in rehearsal because I really wanted to focus and make sure that I was going to be on point for the show,” Kandi explains. “I already know how I am,” she continues. “If he’s here, it’s going to be distracting.”
Burruss took to Instagram to further discuss how she stays sane with all of her personal and business obligations. “People wonder how I pursue my dreams while balancing family life. Well, it takes a village,” Kandi shared. The celebrity mom’s words helped a lot of her social media followers, including one parent who admitted that Kandi’s honesty was quite liberating.
“Thank you for your honesty,” the fan wrote online. “You just freed me! Some make work & home seem so easy and have the best of both worlds. Reality something is gonna have to fall a bit shorter than desired but it’s okay.”
