When you were nine-years- old, were you running your own business? Well, meet special needs student , Camden Myers, who has set a new bar with running his own coffee pop-up coffee shop, Cam’s Coffee Creations.
“I think he realizes that you don’t see many people like him running a business or working at a business,” La Tasha Lewis said in an interview with Fox 8.
Myers has special needs as a result of a traumatic brain injury that he suffered at birth; however, he has not let that slow him down. With the help of his mother, the Winston-Salem, North Carolina native found inspiration and profit as a result of his love for coffee.
“One day, I will take over Starbucks,” Myers told Fox 8.
And there is no doubt that he will try. Myers has his own product line of coffee blends available for purchase online.
Recently, Cam’s Coffee Creations was selected to be the official beverage sponsor of the Triad Minority Business Expo. “We’ve said to him, who you are is wonderful. Who you are is more than enough, and so Cam’s Coffee Creations gives him the opportunity to be more than enough,” Lewis said of her son.
And what does Myers want? He simply wants “[people] to have a good day at work.”
