The LEGO Ninjago Movie is set to make its public debut later this month. The film’s cast members spoke with media about making the fall movie family-friendly in July.
“In particular, the Silicon Valley guys [Woods and Nanjiani] were really inappropriate,” Olivia Munn mused. “They don’t know how to be kid-friendly, which was a big problem for a kid-friendly movie.”

Kumail Nanjiani admitted that family-friendly wasn’t always the first thing on his mind when filming. Nevertheless, he and the others managed to move past the hiccups and make a great film. “We said words like the F-word, the P-word, the B-word… the W-word,” the actor said. “That one’s rough,” co-star Zach Woods added.
