Wonder Woman fans are about to be super elated! It was just announced that the DC Comic film has already gotten a release date for the sequel!
Having shattered box office sales, taking in more than $780 million dollars world-wide, becoming the biggest hit of the summer, Gal Gadot is set to return to the big screen for a new Diana Prince adventure, December 13, 2019, right in time for the holidays!
The script for the follow-up film is already in development and director Patty Jenkins told Entertainment Weekly that, “the story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right. She’s Wonder Woman. She’s got to come to America. It’s time. I’m not a big obligation person when it comes to art. You want to do a movie like this because you believe in it,” she continued. “Then I had this revelation in the middle of the night: This is your dream cast. You’ve created a character that you love and you can say anything you want in the world right now.”
However, just know that you won’t have to wait until 2019 to see the Amazonian princess! Gadot will hit the big screen in November 2017 in the Justice League debut and we cannot wait!
