Looking good! Serena Williams was one of many attendees at Burberry’s newest DK88 bag launching event on Tuesday. The expectant star wore a blue dress that teetered on the side of casual while maintaining its formal wear foundation. Serena’s protruding stomach was made evident by the waist design that brought special attention to her midsection.
Although she has worked hard to afford the finer things in life, such as a bag from Burberry’s DK88 line that could cost more than $15,000, the tennis star understands the value of a dollar. In fact, Serena was spotted while making a late night run to a Dollar Tree store in Florida earlier this week.
According to TMZ, “The tennis superstar strolled into the discount shop in Palm Beach around 9 PM in a maxi dress that showed off her growing baby bump — and bought a bunch of inexpensive stuff!” Serena also took a few pictures with adoring fans who immediately recognized the seven-time Wimbledon champion.
It seems that Williams is giving the public an inside look into her life these days. It was just a few weeks ago that the expectant star shared a touching open letter to her unborn child on Instagram. “My Dearest Baby, You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can’t wait to meet you,” she wrote.
