Genesis Dean is following in his parents’ footsteps! The 2-year-old son of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz showed off his creative skills earlier this week.
Proud papa Swizz shared video footage of his son dropping a beat with Instagram fans on Wednesday. There was no denying that Genesis was intentional with what he was doing as he said, “one, two three four; one, two, three, four” in the middle of his beat-boxing as a way of breaking it down for his listening public. “In the middle of my #NoCommissionShanghai Genesis wanted me to hear his new beat 1234567,” Swizz told fans. The cute video gained more than 150,000 likes and nearly 2,000 comments online in only 15 hours of Beatz posting.
Genesis is getting the best of both worlds with a dad who produces music and encourages full liberality in art and a mom who will challenge him to reach deeper depths with his creativity as he grows older. It was just a few weeks ago that Alicia Keys celebrated International Women’s Day with a powerful social media post about motherhood.
“I will raise my children to be beautiful human beings and powerful men who understand how magnificent women are,” the singer shared with her fans. Keys went on to tell her followers that women “should be honored like goddesses, not just on International Women’s Day, but every day. We must continue to lift each other up, believe in ourselves and not hold back from this truth.”
Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are the proud parents of two sons. Genesis is the couple’s youngest child who celebrates his third birthday in December.
