Not even out of elementary school and eight-year-old Nia Mya Reese is already a best-selling author on the Amazon’s best seller list with her book, How to Deal With And Care For Your Annoying Little Brother.
Reese loves being a big sister to five-year-old Ronald Michael but admits that it’s not easy and that he is “downright annoying”. With the help of her mother, the pair turned what started out as a writing assignment in Reese’s first-grade-class into a parenting gold star, earning Reese a growing fan base and city-wide recognition.

The project teaches universal lessons of patience, kindness, and love, all themes that the young author admits in an interview with CBS Evening News that she has to “teach [her brother] sometimes.” When asked what she had learned from the writing process, Reese admits, “I learned to follow my own dreams.”
We definitely think that we will be seeing a lot more from Reese in the bookstores for many years to come. To get your copy of How to Deal With And Care For Your Annoying Little Brother, click here.
