WE Day, a part of WE-an organization that brings people together and gives them the tools to change the world locally and globally, achieving transformative outcomes for themselves and others, is a day that celebrates young people who are taking action on social issues.
Students from across Illinois earned their way into WE Day by taking action on either local or global causes of their choice. The 15,000 person event, generously supported by The Allstate Foundation, is dedicated to empowering America’s youth, hoping to create strong, confident, leaders of tomorrow.
“We Day celebrates the amazing young people who have taken action at home and around the world, to create sustainable change for a better tomorrow,” comments Craig Kielburger, co-founder of WE. “Standing in a stadium full of passionate youth will affirm your belief that real change can happen-and is happening every single day right here in Illinois.”
