Haley Joy Kotb is everything that Hoda Kotb has been waiting for. The television personality gushed over her newly adopted daughter on Tuesday.
“She’s a Valentine’s baby,” Hoda told TODAY co-hosts and fans. “She is the love of my life,” she added.
The new mom also took to Twitter to share her joy with social media fans. “My prayers have been answered #HaleyJoy,” Hoda shared. “As a friend said today– she is ‘right on time.'”
Hoda’s mom would agree that Haley came on the scene just in time. “My mom was here, and my mom goes, ‘Hello, Haley. We’ve waited so long for you,'” Hoda revealed on the show.
It was just last year that the television personality doted on her mom’s rearing tactics. “She was a great mom. She was strict,” Hoda admitted. “You understood what ‘no’ meant. There was no ‘but everyone else is doing it.’ She couldn’t have cared less what anyone else was doing.”
Still, “I knew I could look up, look to my right, look to my left, look in the bleachers, and there she was, always. Always. and I think everyone needs an ‘always,’ someone who you look up and you say, No matter where I am, no matter what I’m going through, no matter what I’m doing, I’ll look up, and there they’ll be.”
Haley is Hoda Kotb’s only child. The little one was born on February 14, 2017.
