Monroe and Moroccan are at the center of everything that Nick Cannon does. The celebrity father tells media that he and Mariah Carey co-parent well because they always have the kids in mind.
“You put the kids first,” Nick says. “When you understand that you have unconditional love for these human beings and you want the best existence for them, then you put whatever differences you may have had aside. A lot of times, when you think about breakups in relationships, it’s usually over ego. And if you can remove your ego from that, and make it about your loved ones, that’s what it’s all about.”
It’s also about helping Monroe and Moroccan realize their dreams. “If they want to be entertainers, God bless ’em,” Nick reveals. “I think as a parent, you want to encourage trying and effort, and putting hard work to the test to show something you can actually accomplish.”
Monroe and Moroccan definitely have great potential if they were to choose a career in show business. “I don’t want my kids to be entertainers,” Nick admits. “But they have it,” he adds. “They’re little hams – they see a microphone, they run for it.”
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins celebrate their sixth birthdays in April. Nick Cannon is expecting his first child with Brittany Bell to arrive in coming weeks.
