Ciara let her natural beauty shine through at the 2017 MAKERS Conference on Wednesday. The ‘I Bet’ singer was joined by her husband, Russell Wilson, at the event held at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Ciara wore a cream colored dress with matching jacket that concealed her baby bump. The star’s pregnancy glow was evident as she took several pictures with her husband on the red carpet.
The MAKERS Conference seeks to shed light on women who are trailblazers in their own right. AOL launched the event in 2012 in hopes of relaying the stories of remarkable women. Now, MAKERS.com features more than 4,500 original videos and upwards of 400 interviews from influential women. Oprah Winfrey, Lena Dunham, and Shonda Rhimes are three of many who have contributed to the project.
Hillary Clinton participated in this year’s MAKERS efforts and gave strong words that called for the next generation of women leaders to take their place. “We need strong women to step up and speak out,” Clinton said in the clip. “We need you to dare greatly and lead boldly. So please, set an example for every woman and girl out there who’s worried about what the future holds and wonders whether our rights, opportunities, and values will endure.”

Hillary Clinton has inspired many including Ciara. The recording artist told WWD that Hillary running for president was the epitome of the women’s movement. “It speaks to what we’re talking about today,” Ciara said. “I’ve always been a believer that you’re not blocked by your color, your gender. It’s up to you and what you want to do in life. She’s a great example of that.”
Ciara is the proud mother of one child, Future Zahir. She is expecting her first child with husband Russell Wilson to arrive in coming weeks. The MAKERS Conference was a three-day event that concluded this past Wednesday.
