Congratulations to Jordan Peele and wife Chelsea Peretti who are expecting their first child! Chelsea shared the splendid news with her Instagram followers this past weekend.
“Beyonce schmonce,” Chelsea wrote in reference to Beyonce and Jay-Z’s Internet-breaking news of their expectancy of twins last Wednesday. Chelsea’s announcement was also notable as her series of posts garnered more than 70,000 hearts on Instagram and thousands of congratulatory comments. “Amazing,” one fan wrote. “I thought so when I watched the last episode of 99,” another exclaimed.
Chelsea and her husband always have a hilarious way of announcing monumental moments in their lives. It was just last year that the celebrity couple told fans that they tied the matrimonial knot after eloping. “Eloped a bit ago. Our only witness was this lil guy,” Chelsea shared along with a picture of her and Jordan’s dog dressed in vacation attire.
Peter Atencio, director of Jordan’s famed project Key & Peele, also commented on the couple’s union. “They did it right,” he told media. “They just went off, got married, came back, ‘Hey we’re married now.’ I love that,” the director added. “That’s how it should be: No fanfare, no craziness, no mother-in-law breathing down your neck. Just go do it.”
Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele are expecting their first child to arrive in coming months. The couple celebrates their first wedding anniversary this summer.
