Paula Patton and Robin Thicke are settling their differences with the help of a therapist. Sources close to the former couple tell media that the entertainers are attending counseling sessions with their son, Julian.
“While Julian did remain with his mother this weekend, the entire family — Paula, Robin and Julian — met with a therapist on Saturday,” a family friend reveals. According to the inside source, Paula and Robin “are all working with the therapist to come to a resolution and are listening to whatever the therapist recommends. The plans are to continue working with the therapist in this way to resolve this. This is their plan to move forward.”
Police officers were called to Paula’s home last week after Julian missed school and a scheduled visitation with dad. “They were supposed to work out something on Friday night after the incident for Julian to see Robin,” a family friend explains. “They were going to try to have a nanny and security guard bring Julian to a park to be with Robin for an hour, but Julian did not want to go.”
Robin Thicke came under scrutiny a few weeks ago after Paula Patton filed court documents alleging child abuse. “The judge denied all of Paula’s requests for custody,” an inside source revealed after court proceedings. “She wanted more custody because of her allegations of physical abuse, which are untrue and unfounded.” Robin was later cleared of all abuse allegations by the Los Angeles County Department of Child Protective Services.
Julian is Robin Thicke and Paula Patton’s only child. He celebrates his seventh birthday in April.
