Madonna rang in the new year with her children. The Pop singer uploaded pictures from her family’s trip to the slopes to Instagram earlier this week.
“Starting 2017 with The 4 things that I love the most,” Madonna shared along with a picture of her with the kids. David stood front and center while Mercy found a spot behind mom and big brother Rocco. Lourdes, the oldest of the siblings, struck a pose while standing beside Madonna.

The ‘Material Girl’ singer is every bit proud to be a parent but admits that the job comes with its fair share of challenges. “The biggest accomplishment I think was finishing my tour, doing my shows every night. And dealing with the challenges of being a mother,” Madonna said during an interview with Billboard in which she addressed the highs and lows of her career and personal life.

“That’s always the challenge for me. Being a good mother, being an artist, getting through it all,” she added.
Parenthood has definitely served as Madonna’s guiding light. “My family is everything,” she told media. “I will go to war for them. Whatever I’m fighting for, it’s for my daughters and my sons. I want them to have a good future.”

Lourdes and Rocco are Madonna’s biological children. The singer adopted Mercy and David out of Malawi several years back.
