You don’t need basketball camp when your father is an NBA sensation. La La Anthony captured a precious moment between her son, Kiyan, and husband Carmelo as the celebrity father taught his youngster how to play ball.
Carmelo was showing Kiyan valuable skills that could lead to greatness if developed by the little one. “Learning from dad,” La La shared along with the footage.
Carmelo Anthony shared the secret behind his success on the court during an interview with Troy Alexander last year. “Typically, athletes are known for being physical beings; rarely are we known for being thoughtful or intellectual,” Anthony revealed. “I’ve always thought that a successful athletic career requires a very high level of concentration, discipline, focus and decision-making — qualities that are important in any field.”
Also important is the manner in which a person presents himself in public. “Branding is your presence, so whether you’re approaching a new client or going for a job interview, your appearance, your look and the way you present yourself is all a part of personal branding,” he shared. “Typically when you feel great it exudes through your attitude and clothes and when you care about yourself, you care about what you look like!”
Carmelo and La La Anthony have one child together. Kiyan celebrated his ninth birthday earlier this year.
