David Otunga Jr. joined Titan Witherspoon and other celebrity kids in celebrating the world premiere of his mom’s movie, Sing, this past weekend. The event was held at Microsoft Theater Live on Saturday and the little ones took center stage on the red carpet with their parents.
Little David took several pictures with his mom, Jennifer Hudson, that included a few candids with living legend Stevie Wonder. J-Hud encouraged her youngster to engage in a singing battle with Wonder. “Hey, David,” Stevie belted. The youngster responded by singing, “Hey, Stevie.” Jennifer was every bit amused to see her little one hob-knobbing with the iconic artist.
Kelly Rowland and Garcelle Beauvais also attended the premiere with their kids. Titan was in fashion sync with his mom as they both wore brown to the screening.
Jaid and Jax, Garcelle’s twin sons, rocked casual wear. The boys stood on both sides of mom while taking pictures in the spotlight.
Saturday’s premiere was about more than showing off Universal’s latest creation. Jennifer Hudson was one of several onstage acts after the film’s conclusion. The singer delivered a stellar performance from the film’s repertoire of music.
Sing will have viewers of all ages laughing. The movie’s central character, Buster Moon, stops at nothing to prove to the world, and himself, that he is more than a car wash worker. Although his last few productions have been a bust, he is confident that his latest idea of putting on a talent contest will be the thing that pulls him out of the financial hole that threatens to consume his theater and dreams.
Buster’s invitation to audition draws thousands but there is only one problem: they think that the grand prize is $100,000, but Buster barely has $1,000 to his name. Rosita is one of the deceived hopefuls chosen and, in the process of preparing for the show, learns that her life is more than being a devoted wife and mother of 25 piglets. Jennifer Hudson partners with Jennifer Sanders in bringing Nana Noodleman, who saves the day in the end, to life.
Leslie Jones, Nick Roll, Seth MacFarlane, Nick Offerman, Scarlett Johansson, and Targon Egerton are also voiceovers for feature characters in the film. Sing makes its public debut just in time for Christmas on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Check out the film’s trailer below!
