What are the differences/similarities between you and your black-ish character? I feel that Jack and I are really alike because we both love basketball, dancing, and just having fun in general. I also have an older sister like he does. She’s 21. The difference between us is in real life is that I’m actually smarter than my character. I have really good grades, and I plan to attend college and hopefully go on to play in the NBA.
What would be your dream role to play? My dream role would either be to star in Space Jam 2 alongside LeBron James or to be a character in any Marvel movie, as long as I’m in the Marvel cinematic universe!
How long have you been acting/how did you get started in acting? I’ve been acting ever since I was like six or seven. I actually got into acting because I used to be and still am a dancer. My first role was dancing on Nickelodeon’s “Yo Gabba Gabba”. This led to a few cameos on a few other network television shows until I landed the role on black-ish.
Which do you like best… acting, dancing or rapping/why? I can’t really say which I like best between acting, rapping, and dancing because I feel I can do each thing while doing the other at the same time. I can rap while acting and I can dance while acting. This has helped me show directors and writers extra things to add to my character.
What is one thing that your fans may not know about your diverse ethnic background? Besides being African-American, I am also part Filipino and part Mexican.
Tune in to see more of Brown Wednesday nights on ABC!
