Michael Ealy and his wife, Khatira Rafiqzada, have done it again! Two years after announcing their son Elijah’s birth, the couple has welcomed their daughter under the radar.
“I just discovered a whole new love,” Ealy said during his recent visit to The Steve Harvey Show. “I’ve never, ever felt this way before. I was wondering if I could love another child as much as I love my son. What I realized within hours of my daughter being born was that not only do I love her just as much, if not more. It’s a special kind of protective love.”
Michael went on to tell Steve that he understood the emotions that the talk show host exhibited when his daughter Karli wed last year. “It wiped me out because here was this little girl that I had promised that I would always take care of, no matter what happened,” Steve recalled. “When the minister said, ‘Who gives this bride to this man?’ And I’m supposed to hand her hand [to him] and she started squeezing my hand, and I was squeezing her hand. I didn’t want to let her go.”
Although it will be a few years before Michael experiences such a precious moment, the actor, told Steve that he would be “extremely grateful” if he is fortunate enough to give his daughter away in matrimony. Michael also told Steve that he didn’t have a problem with hurting a few boys along the way. “Well, you know, I’ve played some dangerous characters,” he joked.
