“He who finds a wife finds a good thing.” Robert “RL” Lavelle Huggar has certainly found his “good thing” in Lena Danielle. The two tied the matrimonial knot earlier this month in front of family members and friends.
“Words will never be able to express this feeling,” Lena gushed. “I married the man of my dreams. I am so happy and overjoyed! God has truly blessed us. We look forward to a lifetime of happiness.” The newlywed wife also told social media fans that she and RL were “counting down the months to meet our babygiRL #RoryLane coming January 2017.”
Many remember Robert as the lead singer of the R&B group ‘Next.’ The group received immeasurable fame after releasing the single ‘Wifey’ during the early 2000’s that inspired thousands of couples to go the way of marriage.
The road of matrimony certainly has presented its fair share of challenges for RL. The star revealed that his first wife cheated on him with a close friend during an interview with Soul Train in 2012. ” I was married before, cheated on,” RL shared. “My wife cheated on me with a guy that I hung out with and had sung at his wedding reception. It was some deep stuff. I had to wake up and decide not to be a victim anymore.”
It’s a good thing that RL pulled himself up by his bootstraps and found love again because Lena views him as “the sweetest thing I’ve known.”
Fans cannot be happier to share in the couple’s delight. “So happy for you all,” one of Lena’s social media followers wrote. “I wish you the happiest and sweetest days to come in your marriage,” another commented.
Lena and Rober Huggar’s little one, who they have decided to name Rory, will make her entry in coming weeks. She is the couple’s first child together. RL also has an adult son named Charles.
