Get ready for laughs! Black-ish will return for a third season later this month.
The Johnsons have addressed many issues concerning suburbia, including wealth and hectic work schedules, during their time onset. The television family has also shed light on race in America.
“I feel like what Black-ish has done is make it easier to have a conversation about some things,” Yara recently shared with Parade. Co-star Laurence Fishburne also commented, “it’s that old saying, ‘Laughter is the best medicine.'”
He further explained, “We’ve got a little bit of medicine in our cabinets, you know? And we’re just giving it to people in a way in which they can see it. I love what I do, and I’m just so happy that we have been embraced and that our audience is as diverse as our country is.”
Check out this season’s premiere of Black-ish on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 on ABC. The show stars Laurence Fishburne, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, Jenifer Lewis, Peter Mackenzie, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Anthony Anderson.
