The highlight of the week was definitely the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards 2016. The event was held on Thursday at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Westwood, California, and featured the Bryants front and center.
All eyes were on Vanessa and Kobe Bryant as the celebrity couple posed alongside their kids, Natalia and Gianna, on the red carpet. Vanessa glowed while wearing a red dress that showed off her baby bump. Zendaya was also in the spotlight during the red carpet segment. The actress greeted fans shortly before grabbing a microphone and working the area.
Kobe Bryant was one of many athletes honored during the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards 2016. The former NBA player was given the Legend Award for a sports career that spanned two decades. “It seems like it was yesterday I was your guys’ age and I had a dream, I had ambition for being one of the greatest basketball players of all time,” Kobe said during his acceptance speech. “Through hard work and dedication that dream came true,” he added.
Bryant went on to encourage kids to make their mark in the world. “When you have a dream the one thing you need to watch out for are those that are trying to crush your dream,” he shared. “You cannot allow that to happen. I challenge you to go out there and be legendary in your own right.”
