Great news! Marsha Ambrosius is pregnant. The English singer announced her expectancy during ESSENCE Festival 2016.
Marsha began her segment with ‘Take Me With You.’ She then moved on to the song ‘Do Me Baby’ in which she began to set the atmosphere for her big announcement. Marsha placed emphasis on the word “baby” and rubbed her stomach several times during the performance. The singer later confirmed with ESSENCE that she was expecting a child.
Ambrosius sang with the group Floetry before breaking out as a solo artist at the turn of the century. She has since gone on to write impactful songs that inspire her listeners. The single ‘Shoes,’ for instance, is meant to encourage women to take responsibility for their actions. “I wanted other women to know that it’s okay to have messed up in your past,” she told media. “It’s okay to have been that other woman in your past unknowingly. And ultimately pursuing unselfish level whether it’s what you wanted or whether it’s right or wrong … ‘Shoes’ is just admitting your s***.”
Marsha Ambrosius is expecting her first child to arrive in coming months.
