Cree Hardrict is five years old! The son of Tia Mowry Hardrict and Cory Hardrict celebrated his fifth birthday on Saturday. His mom and dad gave him a shark themed party.
“Cree is really into sharks,” Tia told PEOPLE exclusively. “He can tell you all kinds of sharks — hammerhead, reef. I wanted to have the theme tailored to him.”
The celebrity mom was spot-on as everything about Cree’s party concerned sharks. The youngster had a cake with the creatures featured on it as well as a costume that referenced sharks. Tia and Cory even gave their son a remote controlled submarine. “He just had to have it,” Tia said. “He was reminding me of it every day before his party.”
Although all of the festivities were grand, it wasn’t until attendees sang the birthday song to Cree that Tia realized her little man was growing up. “When everyone started to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Cree and I saw the number five on the cake, it all just hit me,” the star mom told media. “I realized, ‘Oh my gosh, my child is really and truly growing up!'”
