Updated at 11:35 am Easten Time: Baby Smith has arrived. Torrey Smith writes on his Instagram page, “Thank you for all the prayers! I know it worked. We felt it. It was a long and stressful pregnancy. I’m so thankful he is here.”

Baby Smith will be here any day now! Torrey Smith shared a picture of him with the family on Tuesday and everyone was excited about the impending arrival of the newest addition to the family.
“One more day before we are a family of 4,” Torrey captioned. The NFL player was photographed while kissing his wife Chanel’s stomach. Smith also told fans that he was “blessed to be responsible for raising Kings.”
It was just a few months ago that Torrey opened up about his and Chanel’s expectancy. The star athlete expressed concern over a test that revealed signs of Trisomy 18. “I wasn’t familiar with it, so I began to Google it while she was explaining what it was all about. My heart dropped and my wife was in tears.”
Although the Smith’s unborn child had a 1-10 chance of developing the illness, Torrey remained hopeful. In the end, “The results came back that he does not have Trisomy 18,” he shared.
Torrey also explained, “We have no clue what’s going on with our child. It could be absolutely nothing. I do know that we are ready for whatever may come and my wife is leading the way. The prayer warriors have been working for us and we appreciate it. God wouldn’t put us in a situation that we couldn’t handle. We have been drawing strength from him and those around us. Now we are praying that our little fighter continues to grow and we can meet him. I’m praying for life, not for his health.”
Chanel and Torrey Smith are expecting their second child to arrive any day. The couple already has a son named Torrey Jr.
