The first family celebrated Father’s Day with nature. President and First Lady Obama took a cute picture with their daughters at Yosemite National Park on Sunday. Sasha and Malia surrounded their mom and dad in the candid and the waterfall served as the perfect backdrop. “Happy Father’s Day,” the first lady shared.
Michelle counted parenthood as her greatest accomplishment during a recent talk with Oprah Winfrey. “You know, truly, I am most proud of my daughters,” she said. “As all mothers do, you breathe that sigh of relief that you didn’t mess up your kids. And every day I cross my fingers and hope that I’m doing right by them, and I’m providing them with a good foundation so that they can be great people.”
The first lady also encouraged fathers to be more active in their kids’ lives during the conversation. “Men can be better husbands, which is — be a part of your family’s life,” she said. “Do the dishes. Don’t babysit your children. You don’t babysit your own children. Be engaged. Don’t just think going to work and coming home makes you a man. Being a father, being engaged, all that stuff is important.”
Sasha is President and First Lady Obama’s youngest daughter while Malia is the couple’s oldest child. Malia recently walked the stage at her high school graduation and is making plans to attend Harvard University next year.
