Monyetta Shaw was one of several stars to attend the advance screening of Disney-Pixar’s Finding Dory on Tuesday. The event was hosted by Keshia Knight-Pulliam at AMC Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, Georgia.
Monyetta brought her children, Madilyn and Mason, to the screening. The kids were ecstatic to see the movie ahead of schedule.
Finding Dory has received rave reviews leading up to its public debut later this week. “Any studio can throw money at a movie to ensure that dazzling images zig and zag on the screen,” Us Weekly reports. “It takes some mighty fine writers and actors to deliver a dose of humanity to cold-blooded sea creatures.”
Delivering a dose of humanity under the sea is exactly what the latest installment to the Finding Nemo franchise does. Dory searches high and low for her parents after being separated from them when she was a child. Unfortunately, Dory isn’t some ordinary blue-eyed fish who has a sharp memory. In contrast, she experiences memory loss every ten seconds. The determined sea creature relies on her friends, Nemo and Marlin, to help her find the mom and dad that she never knew.
Hearts will be warmed with this summer film that is perfect for kids of all ages. Finding Dory makes its public debut on Friday, June 17, 2016.
