Spike Lee and the family were in full support of the EPIX documentary Serena on Monday night. The director, along with his wife Tonya Lewis-Lee and son Jackson, attended the premiere event of the film in New York City.
Serena Williams took several pictures with the famous family. Spike Lee was all smiles while celebrating the tennis sensation on her big night. The director even managed to pay homage to Muhammad Ali by wearing a sweatshirt that bore the legendary boxer’s name.
Serena is the story of Serena Williams who is recognized as one of the greatest tennis players of our time. The film follows the star athlete around as she makes business deals, spends time with loved ones, and prepares for her matches.

Fans will get to see Miss Williams behind the scenes when Serena makes its television debut on EPIX next Wednesday, June 22, 2016. The documentary airs at 8pm.
