Met Gala 2016 was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, and who better to make a grand entrance than the Smith kids? Willow and Jaden Smith wore matching attire that correlated with the event’s theme.
The Met Gala was held in celebration of the Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology exhibition, and Willow and Jaden were definitely fashion forward. The brother and sister wore black Luis Vuitton outfits that bore remnants of white. Jaden’s jacket was lined with white while Willow’s coat had sprinkles of the color interwoven in its dark fabric. The brother-sister duo held hands while gracing the red carpet with their presence. They even struck a few poses for photographers.
Many take notice of Willow and Jaden’s attire on a consistent basis because the young stars’ styles are so unique. Jaden, in particular, has garnered much attention for his fashion sense that crosses gender barriers. He even earned the privilege of being one of the faces of Luis Vuitton’s women’s collection.
“I feel like people are kind of confused about gender norms,” he recently told GQ Style. “I feel like people don’t really get it. I’m not saying that I get it, I’m just saying that I’ve never seen any distinction,” Jaden added. “I don’t see man clothes and woman clothes, I just see scared people and comfortable people.”
Jaden and Willow Smith are Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s children.
