How many 16-year-olds can say that they have a TEDx Talk? Not many, that’s for sure. Gabrielle Jordan is one of the few with a session of her own and a website that inspires her peers.
“When I reflect back on my life, I want it to be filled with big dreams, big actions and big accomplishments and that’s what I want for others,” Gabrielle shares on her website. Miss Jordan is recognized by several editorials as a business-savvy teen who knows how to capitalize on a good thing.
Gabrielle was 9-years-old when her friends started asking for her jewelry. They weren’t asking the teen to give them her accessories but were rather willing to pay money for her designs. In addition to agreeing to sell her goods to friends, Gabrielle broadened her horizon in entrepreneurship to co-founding the ExCEL Mentoring Institute. The organization seeks to teach up-and-coming youth how to launch successful businesses.
Jordan also serves as an ambassador for the Tigerlily Foundation and has won a myriad of awards since starting her business seven years ago. The young star has gained an immense amount of popularity through BET, Fox News and NBC for her work as an author. See a snippet of the teen’s vision below!
