LA’s BEST hosted a LA school reading at Baldwin Hills Elementary School to highlight the highly anticipated new movie, THE JUNGLE BOOK, on Tuesday, April 12th. Young actress Laya Deleon Hayes, who voices Disney Jr.’s Doc McStuffins, was one of the celebrity readers at the event. She was joined by fellow actress Naturi Naughton(POWER on Starz) and DJ Damage(REVOLT Live & Real 92.3 FM) as they read excerpts of The Jungle Book to the elementary school students.
LA’s BEST (Better Educated Students for Tomorrow) is a non-profit organizaton which aims “to provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for school children ages 5 to 12 in the City of Los Angeles.”
The Jungle book, a film about Mowgli, an orphaned human boy who, guided by his animal guardians, sets out on a journey of self-discovery, comes out in theaters on April 15th.
