Fetty Wap and Masika Kalysha have found a name for their daughter: Khari Barbie Maxwell. Masika shared the meaning behind the little one’s name with Instagram fans earlier this week.
According to Kalysha’s post, “Khari” has its origins in Africa and means, “Queenly; joyful song; born to rule.”
Masika and Fetty Wap welcomed their daughter on Tuesday. Kalysha described her daughter’s birth as “the best day of my entire life.”
It was also a big day for Fetty Wap, who hasn’t left Masika’s side since Khari’s birth. “Fetty spent most of the evening with Masika and baby Khari at the hospital in their private suite,” Kalysha’s rep told media.
Masika opened up about her and Fetty’s union that led to the expectancy and birth of their daughter. “We just had great musical chemistry together,” Kalysha told Us Weekly in January. “If it weren’t for that connection, me, personally, I wouldn’t have entertained the idea of dating.”
Khari is Masika and Fetty Wap’s first child together. Wap also has a son, Aydin, and daughter, Zaviera, from previous relations.
