Egypt Ufele is making strides in the fashion industry. The 10-year-old decided to create her own clothing line, called Chubiiline, after being intimidated by her peers.
“I was bullied and they called me all kinds of names,” Egypt says. “One time I got stabbed by a pencil.” Such hostility inspired the tween to start her fashion brand. “I turned negative attention into positive attention,” she shares.
Ufele certainly has been getting a host of positive reviews for her line that ranges from casual wear to formal attire. The tween thinks outside of the box with her designs as each piece is reminiscent of African attire. “People applaud me and tell me I’m good at fashion,” Egypt says.
Preston Walker, owner of Small Boutique Fashion, agrees. “When I see her line, I see a future in the fashion industry,” she says. Thousands of fans would agree as they have already taken notice and applauded Egypt for her efforts.
You can be sure that this up-and-coming fashionista’s brand will expand.
